Here are photos from this year’s High Tea event for Lura Turner Homes. My Aunt and I have attended this event every year for probably close to 15 years or more. This event raises money for LTH which provides housing and services for adults with special needs and disabilities. My Aunt sponsors the table and then I help her set it up and host. I love doing this event, and not just for the tasty sandwiches lol. Everyone has such beautiful tea sets and China. I wish high Tea and tea time was something that was popular here. There is just something fun and nostalgic and super feminine about dressing up and using the “fancy china” with your best girlfriends on a Saturday afternoon. Enjoy these photos, perhaps they will inspire your own high Tea event, I know they’ve left me with tons of new ideas for our table at future high teas.
Aren’t those tables beautiful??? Makes one want to have high Tea every day! And don’t forget the food!
I won’t admit to how many sandwiches I ate, but they were worth every carb. And anyways, I’m pretty sure that carbs don’t count when you eat them for charity. My favorite is the cucumber sandwich and the cream cheese one. Mmmmm mmmmm. I think I need to recreate these at home once in awhile.
Here’s to next year!
